Frequently Asked Questions
Got a Question? Ask the Webmaster . . . I'll find you an answer! (click
here)
- q: What is a Totin' Chip?
a: A Totin' Chip is a laminated card that
says you have gone to the knife training. Scouts and adults alike must
carry a Totin' Chip to carry and use a knife at a scouting function.
If you are found to be using a knife (axe, saw, or whatever) improperly a
corner gets cut off of the card. Lose all four corners and it's back
to training for you. See reference page "Totin'
Chip".
- q: I'm not a registered adult member of Troop 494 but my Son
is. Can I go on Scout campouts?
a: Absolutely! Parents, male or female, are welcome. Last
year at Tomahawk we had 22 adults staying in camp and we loved it!. Be
forwarded, the snoring section is furthest from the campfire.
